Mussels are lovely, and our award-winning smoked mussels are even better!

Our Mussels have been slow-smoked to our own home-cure recipe over oak woodchips. All our smoking takes place in-house, in small batches.

Winning both Great Taste and Taste of the West awards, our smoked mussels boast the most lovely texture and flavour.

They’re versatile too: you can add them to a smoked salmon risotto for an extra oomph, mix them into a smokey fish pie mix, or just simply serve them on toasted sourdough with garlic butter.

We have a long term relationships with Tim of Porthilly Shellfish and Miles of Fowey Shellfish located in the North village of Rock and the south coast town of Fowey. Our mussels are grown in the deep, clear, clean waters off the Cornish coast, renowned for its water clarity.

Judges Feedback:

Punchy, deep smoky aroma burst out as THE packaging is opened – just wonderful aromas of a sweet, smoky sea.

Stunning product, beautifully presented, appealing plump mussels. Extremely well-presented with knowledge, care and pride in the preparation and cleaning of the shells.

Moreish, meaty and wonderfully velvety mussels.

Amazing, fresh and smoky in the mouth, a wonderful depth of a long smoke, absolutely delicious.  This quality-sourced product bursts with a taste of the sea followed by the sweet smoke that lingers and stays.  We ate hot and cold.  Utterly delicious and moreish.
